Misty

Em 1954 o pianista Errol Garner compunha um dos seus temas mais famosos de sempre: Misty. Apesar de ser originalmente um instrumental recebeu algum tempo depois uma letra, da autoria de Johnny Burke, de modo a poder ser cantado. Esta simples alteração deu uma nova dimensão ao tema que conheceu grande projecção na voz assombrosa de Sarah Vaughn. Misty tem sido interpretado posteriormente por diversos pianistas, cantores e grupos de jazz, permanecendo ainda hoje um standard belíssimo e incontornável.
