Do musical lamechas The Song of Music, de 1959, e do posterior filme com o mesmo nome, traduzido entre nós com o título melífluo de Música no Coração saíram, não obstante, temas musicais de grande qualidade da autoria da dupla Rogers / Hammerstein. Um deles, My Favourite Things, veio a tornar-se num standard de jazz recorrente que, espoliado da sua inicial carga delicodoce, revelou toda a genialidade da sua concepção.
